Silvia Wehmeier, Sebastian Tassoti, and Master’s student David Pertl attended the ESERA 2025 Conference (European Science Education Research Association) in Copenhagen. David presented an interactive poster on “The Sound of Light: Use of Sonification for a Novel Introduction to Light-Based Analytical Chemistry Methods in an Undergraduate Laboratory.” Sebastian gave a talk titled “The Illusion of Expertise: Analysis of Challenges in Customised Generative Artificial Intelligence Chatbots in Chemistry Education.”Silvia’s poster generated discussions on “Do Students Care? Goals, Gender, and Engagement in Chemistry Labs.” Their active participation reflects the department’s strong commitment to innovative chemistry education research.
