Effect of ion-repulsion on the retention of Sulfur-compounds

Controllable Ion-Repulsion Enables Rapid and Trace-Level Detection of Hydrophobic Sulfonylurea Herbicides .............

In his latest publication, Bassam presents a new concept for the separation and detection by HPLC-ICPMS/MS of organic sulfur compounds, e.g. hydrophobic sulfonylurea herbicides. The separation is based on ion repulsion with the help of perfluorinated carboxylic acids. The concept and application were also presented by Bassam during the ASAC Summer School 2025.
