Lhiam and Thebny published there study to characterise the Hg/Se nanoparticles generated in the liver of a sperm whale stranded in Scotland. This is one of the few studies which combine AF4 separation with sp-ICP-TOF-MS. They found that Hg/Se NPs contain also other elements and that at least two different size cohorts of particles exist which have however the same size of the metallic core. A mystery, which need to be solved in the future. It is published in the RSC journal: Environmental Science: Nano
